Agitators

Description

Agitators are utilized in reactors for efficient mixing, suspending and blending application. These axial as well as radial flow impellers are used for solid suspension, dry powder-liquid mixing and mixing miscible liquids. They have been used to blend low viscosity liquids in shear sensitive applications and to suspend solids. Agitator blades are more effective at producing flow for a given power and speed and require less torque for the same mixing condition. The anchor impeller is close clearance, radial flow impeller used for mixing of viscous liquids. Anchors obtain adequate mixing under laminar flow conditions encountered in high viscosity applications. They are common in crystallization reactors where cooling through jacket is necessary along with good mixing. High Shear Mixers used to create emulsions, Suspensions, Gas dispersion in liquid and granular products. It is used in the adhesives, chemical, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and plastic industries for emulsification, homogenization.
